Using Your Take-Home Trays
Place a small amount of whitening gel into each tray (a thin strip along the front-facing wells). Seat the trays over your teeth and wipe away any gel that contacts your gums with a finger or tissue.
Wear Time by Gel Strength
Wear time depends on the concentration of your gel:
- 10%: 4-6 hours or overnight
- 15%: 2-4 hours
- 20%: 1-2 hours
- 35%: 30 minutes
If this is your first time whitening, start with just one hour regardless of strength to assess your sensitivity level.
Treatment Schedule
Use your trays daily for approximately one week until you reach your desired shade. After that, wait at least six months before a touch-up session. For ongoing maintenance, use the system for 1-3 days as needed.
Managing Sensitivity
Some sensitivity during and after whitening is normal. Apply Sensodyne toothpaste inside your trays and wear them for 15 minutes after each whitening session. Contact us if sensitivity becomes severe or unmanageable.
Tray Care
Clean trays with a soft toothbrush and mild soap only — never toothpaste, which is abrasive and will cloud the tray material. Dry completely before storing to prevent bacterial growth.
