UNO DENTAL SAN FRANCISCO is a boutique, holistic dental practice in the Jackson Square Historic District. Independently owned and led by Dr. Amjad Kandar (Lead Dentist) with Dr. Aghiad Kandar as Chief Executive Officer, our office combines next-day digital crowns, 3D smile previews, mercury-free materials, and a calm, design-forward space — built around how you actually want to be cared for.

Your first visit

New patients complete intake online through NexHealth Enlive — usually about five minutes. Bring a current ID and insurance card if you have one. Plan for roughly an hour: comprehensive exam, full digital X-rays, periodontal evaluation, and an unhurried review of options before any work begins.

Patients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the first visit. We recommend disclosing all relevant medical history, including medications and allergies, so we can provide the safest care.

Insurance & billing

We accept all PPO plans — including Delta Dental, Cigna, United Concordia, UnitedHealthcare, Guardian, GEHA, Sun Life, Ameritas, Principal, Lincoln Financial, Careington, Humana, and Mutual of Omaha. As long as it's a PPO plan, most let you choose your provider. Even if your specific plan isn't listed, we can still bill your plan out. We file claims on your behalf and review your coverage transparently before treatment.
